Happy Birthday to Your Resident?

You know how special you feel on your birthday?  Why not make your residents feel special on their birthday…

It doesn’t take a lot of time or money, just some thought…Send them a card.  It doesn’t have to be expensive.  It can be a birthday letter that you create on the computer…just make sure it has their name on it and that it doesn’t just say:  Dear Resident…

Also, make sure you add at least a couple sentences that go just for them…to make it more special.

Buy inexpensive little gift bags and put some candy inside…put ten small 100,000 candy bars in the bags and put a note that says:  “You’re worth a million to us…or something fun with other candy bars.  And if you are wishing your young children Happy Birthday, you can give them a box of animal crackers or crayons, etc.

Don’t forget to put your birthday letter inside the bag and then hang it on their door with some string.  You can even add a balloon that says Happy birthday if you want.

Enter all your residents who have a birthday for that particular month in a drawing to win something.  They can win a cake and everyone else can win a cupcake or something like that.  Or just give the person who won the drawing a gift.  Something small and inexpensive.  It really is the thought that counts.

Or have a ‘Birthday Party’ each month.  Serve Pizza, or just cake or cupcakes and drinks.  Whatever your budget can hold.  Or have one birthday party a year and really go all out.  Draw names for prizes and celebrate everyone at one time.
