Bring Your Tenants Together

Why bring your tenants together?  Because if they get to know each other, they will work together to keep your property what you want it to be, they will be happier residents and you will be a happy landlord.

I really do think that most residents want to enjoy where they live and are good at heart.  Give them a reason to take pride in where they live.  How? Hold a coffee tasting…this doesn’t have to cost much, just get together and have them taste different flavors of coffees/teas/hot chocolates…let them sip the drink and score it…maybe give away some coffee mugs as a prize..

Host a breakfast for your residents…again, this doesn’t have to be time consuming or expensive.  Get muffins, donuts, etc. and some individual drink containers…let them stop in on their way to work or school to grab a quick bite or take it with them.  Make sure you have some lunch bags for them to ‘pack’ their breakfast in.

Serve coffee and donuts once a week and have the residents discuss activities that are going on and/or what they would like to see happening on your complex.  Get their input and they will feel like a part of the community, not just a rent check to you.

You might not have many residents attend at first, but keep with it and soon you will have more and more.

Not only will this bring your residents together, but it will get your residents talking…to their family, friends and anyone who will listen…this will bring more traffic in so you can fill those vacant units…
